Big time projects call for big-time innovation.
This was the case for Saddleridge Solutions, a leading contractor based in Henderson, Colorado, when they took on their latest project; a significant building envelope remodeling project on a local university’s campus.
Due to access problems, they chose a Pumpjack Scaffold to provide their team a working platform. The scaffold’s workbench was an insufficient guardrail, and the personnel needed to be tied off. Their normal solutions were not viable, causing many logistical and safety issues.
To solve these issues and ensure the safety of their crew, the team attached their WorkSafe pump jack fall protection kit to their pump jack scaffold. The system allowed them to solve their access issues, while providing the required guardrail and tie off point for the team. Ultimately, this kept the project on time, and headed toward completion.
Saddleridge Solutions reported that the WorkSafe system not only met, but exceeded their expectations, significantly reducing safety concerns and improving overall project efficiency.
“The system [was] a huge help to our install process,” Robert Cuevas, Owner of Saddleridge Solutions LLC, said. “The General Contractor’s Safety Team gave it two thumbs up!”
The WorkSafe system’s ease of installation and robust design offered their crew peace of mind, enabling them to work confidently at height, even in challenging conditions. The system consists of a 21’ aluminum guardrail, two guardrail brackets, a guardrail carriage and self-retracting lifeline combo, and two telescoping end stops.
